Nairahost respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the intellectual property rights of others.

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement and is accessible on our servers or through our web hosting services in Nigeria, you may notify us as set forth below.

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a notice of infringement with Nairahost, you must provide a written communication (by email or physical mail) that includes the following information:

Required Information:
  1. Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by this notice, a representative list of such works.
  2. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, including the URL or other specific location on our servers where the material is located. Please provide enough detail for us to locate the material.
  3. Your contact information, including your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is acceptable).

Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with us. A counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court in Nigeria or your local jurisdiction, and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original DMCA notice
